Dear Senator Feinstein,
I am writing to you for your help. I have contacted you many times
in the past regarding my daughter-in-law Sunny (Kaesun Song Douglas).
I always received automated responses about possibly needing help
with a caseworker, which is not the case! I am a caregiver otherwise
I would be hand-delivering this. Instead of sending all the paperwork
I want to, I am going to give you our blog-site so you can read it all on
there. I would appreciate it if you would (or have someone you trust)
read our whole blog-not just part of it. This was an injustice from the
very beginning. This is about the 275 South Koreans-articles and
statements on our blog. I would like you to get Congress to rectify
this situation. Everyone I speak to thinks this is injustice-Republicans
and Democrats. Maybe President Obama would pardon the 275.
I’m furious after reading a paper written by Young Suh (on our blog ).
He was here from the time he was 4 years old and left in October
of last year after graduating from UCSB-he got tired of looking over
his shoulder so he moved to South Korea. I read in his paper that the
corrupt INS supervisor who received $500,000 from the 2 brokers
and burned all the records was never audited by the IRS and
received his full pension. He ruined275 lives plus all the friends and
family of the 275 .This is absurd and unjust. Please
help us, it is ridiculous this injustice has gone on this long.
Sunny - Kaesun Song Douglas alien # ( A47054690 ) was picked up
By ICE 8/31/10 and deported from Eloy detention center on 9/21/10.
She and my son Mark were married 4/01/09 -over a year before she
was picked up. She was in her final semester at SJSU. She and my son
Mark are living in Seoul, South Korea. She just finished her last 2
classes online through SJSU ( 2 A’s ) and completed her BS with a
3.4 GPA. She was planning on going to graduate school to go into
the medical field. I think DHS is going after people like Sunny
because they’re not hiding and don’t have 5 fake driver’s licenses
and10 fake social security cards. I believe DHS is going after who
I would call soft targets even though they have said they are
focusing on criminals-not true. Sunny was told she could not even
try to return to the U.S. for 10 years, ridiculous. She came here
with a Visa when she was 10 years old and was here for 22 years.
I am including a copy of a notorized statement by my son Mark
giving me permission to speak on his and Sunny’s behalf. I am
also including a letter written to you before Sunny was deported
by my Mom-Beverly Murison.
I would greatly appreciate anything you can do to help us and
everyone affected by this situation. My family and friends and
I wrote to and emailed 100’s of people – no responses other
than Zoe Lofgren and Senator Inouye (via Hawaiian Congressman
Robert Herkes) .
If I don’t hear from you soon I will figure out a way to copy and
hand-deliver all of the information! I look forward to hearing from
you.
We always thought there was justice in this country – nothing could
be further from the truth.
