Introduction

This is about love, family, immigration, a couple wrongly deported out of the country and a family split up. Our family is comprised of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Christians, Catholics, Agnostics and many other denominations. Some believe in closed borders, some believe in open borders. We do however, all agree that the situation with my Son Mark and his wife (my daughter-in-law) Sunny (Kaesun) is an injustice. If anyone knows anyone, who knows anyone, who can help - please pass this on. This story has affected hundreds of South Korean immigrants that thought they had come here legally. They lived here for decades, got jobs, got degrees, went to school, only to be deported from a country and life they love.

More Emails and Correspondence.

Here are some other emails and letters sent and some I received from Sunny, I thought it would be good to also share these.

Dear Attorney General Eric Holder,
I have been sending emails to everyone I can think of, then yesterday I received the summary written
by my daughter in law's lawyer which has your name in all of the court documents. Maybe you are
not aware, and maybe the people representing you are not aware of the circumstances surrounding
this case. You are the Department of Justice, and this is not justice. Attached is a letter written by a
Hawaii congressman to Senator Inouye, an article in the SF Chronicle, and the summary by my
daughter in law's lawyer. Please read my comments below, a letter written by a dear friend, and
the article that was in the LA Times.
An INS Supervisor is convicted of taking $ 500,000.00 in bribes and is ordered to pay $ 7,500- in fines,
goes to a halfway house for 6 months, and has six months home confinement at his ranch in Tracy, Ca.

He has ruined peoples lives, and now it is affecting the next generation of victims. My son who was
born and raised here, is a proud American citizen. His wife who has been here for 22 years, since she
was 10 years old is the latest victim. She did not just walk across the border, and is not a terrorist.
We need your help, please Sir. Sunny is, in her mind, a proud American, how can you deport her?
Ms. Jeffry Douglas

Hi Bob!

Barbara from Sen Inouye’s office called. She wanted to let you know that once the case in the “deportation process” even Sen Inouye cannot intervene.
She also mentioned that even if Pres Obama received a request for assistance, the Pres would just turn it back over to the division responsible for handling these cases.

Barbara said hopefully the “Douglas family” is working with an attorney. But Barbara noted that it will all depend on what she is being deported for (i.e. fraud, illegal entry, etc.) The type of charge will determine how the “court” will look at her case.

If you need further clarification, you can contact Barbara

Dear Mr. John Morton,

You do not know me, but I am writing in behalf of my cousin (Jeffry Douglas) whose daughter-in-law is Kaesun Song Douglas (known as Sunny, now wrongly known as alien #A47054690 in Eloy Detention Center). This is not a crisis but in my viewpoint a significant injustice.

Over 20 years ago, three corrupt men, a U.S. immigration supervisor (Leland Sustaire) and two immigration brokers, committed crimes that threaten to deport (or in some cases, already have deported) 275 innocent South Korean immigrants. These greedy brokers were found guilty of bribing Leland Sustaire, who accepted the bribes, and authorized the fraudulent green cards.

Today, Kaesun Song Douglas (Sunny), is an intelligent, loving, and honest young woman who began her life in America as a 10 year old immigrant. She is in love with and married to her sweetheart, Mark Douglas (also my cousin) of over five years and is making plans for graduate school. She has now been uprooted and placed in a detention center facing deportation.

Her family believed that everything was done legally, and even Daniel Lee, the corrupt broker, has stated that his clients did not know of the bribery and fraud. Regardless, it is 100% unjust that a girl filled with dreams, who arrived in this wonderful country at the age of 10 should be uprooted from the life she has worked so hard to build, over 20 years later!

Is this not America ?? How is it possible for our/my government to act so blindly and unjust. Sunny from what I understand is not the only victim. But, how could it be right to penalize individuals who have thought they were Americans for 20 years for a corruption that occurred when they were children. The corrupt individuals have been penalized.

Please, provide some sanity and justice to this and help Sunny rejoin her family in America.
Sincerely,
Ronald C. Smith

Subject: Your agents are going after soft targets in San Jose, Ca.

Dear Mr. John Morton,

I heard you say " We prioritize deporting dangerous criminals ". Maybe you think that,
but it could not be further from the truth what your agents are doing in San Jose, Ca.
They are going after what I would call soft targets - people who don't have 10 fake
social security cards, 5 fake drivers licenses, and who don't move every 3-4 weeks so they
won't be found. My daughter in law is a victim of corrupt people's wrongdoings, and now
I am hearing she cannot return to this country for 11 years, which means my son will
move to South Korea, so he will be gone, also. I would appreciate a reply to this letter,
and I am also asking if there are any possibilities due to her circumstances that she
could return to us anytime soon. I have attached a letter which Sunny wrote to me
while she was in the detention center in Eloy, Arizona. If you read this letter, there
is no way that you can even dream that she is a criminal nor a threat to national
security and public safety.

I was born and raised here and so was my Mother, we have never seen such injustice in our lives.
My daughter in law Sunny was deported 3 days ago.  Sunny was in her last semester at San Jose State University with a 3.5 grade point average, looking forward to going to graduate school, into the medical field.
Please read my comments below, a letter written by a dear friend, and the article that was in the LA Times.
Sincerely,

Ms. Jeffry Elaine Douglas

-Love Daughter-

We sent over 100 letters and emails to the Pres.,VP,the First Lady,
Senators, Representatives, ICE, DOJ & anyone else we could think
of - without any replies other than Senator Inouye and our local
Representative Zoe Lofgren. It was like speaking to no one!

Maybe all of this information will help the skeptics to realize she
really was deported because of this injustice and we received no
help whatsoever.
